Declared is an operational intelligence publication covering tech-linked critical minerals across Africa.
The DRC produces 70% of the world’s cobalt. South Africa holds 80% of global platinum-group metal reserves. Africa accounts for half the world’s manganese. These are load-bearing infrastructure for EV batteries, semiconductor packages, fuel cells, and energy storage systems. And yet the analytical coverage of these markets is dominated by observers working from the outside in.
This publication works the other way around.
Every issue combines ground-truth sourcing from within African critical minerals systems with systematic data analysis: shipping records, port call data, production tracking, company filings, and trade statistics. The goal is to close the gap between what macro analysis projects and what is actually happening: how contracts are structured, where logistics bottlenecks are building, which regulatory changes are being implemented and which are not, and what production signals suggest before they appear in published statistics.
